I won two coffees on roll up the rim...life is pretty shiny right now.



Reading...

Right now I am reading Habored Secrets by Marie F. Martin which is a tough one to put down, I read through snuggling and watching our shows last night.



Watching...

At the moment I have moved on to binge watching Xena or should I say rewatching as I watched it originally when I was in high school.



Listening To...

Workout Pop Playlists on Google Music at the gym, because I really like hearing this song:



Thinking About...

The orthodontist just gave me the bad news that Ace does indeed need braces so right now my mind is on which organ I can sell to afford those.  Anyone need a kidney? 

Anticipating...

Monday is a holiday so we have a long weekend this week, I am really looking forward to spending it in my pajamas curled up with my lap top working on my A to Z challenge posts.  (Don't I know how to party?)

Making Mac and Cheese

One of my favorite vegetables is butternut squash so when Chatelaine  posted this yummy looking recipe  for mac and cheese brimming with squash I immediately pinned it to make at a later time.  Now, before Pinterest  I am willing to admit, recipes got saved in my e-mail, but they never got made.  They just got lost in the shuffle; now they get neatly organized and displayed where I can go through them on a regular basis.  More importantly than that I can try them.   This recipe worked out well for me, I thought the cheese and squash tasted great together, the kids however did not agree.  They like their squash on the side, where they can control how much they ingest.  Next time I will definitely use less breadcrumbs though.

Spooktacular Giveaway Hop

When I was much younger than I am now, I loved nothing more that a good "spooky" story.  I spent many nights laying up in bed reading books that were designed to make your skin crawl and leave you with goose bumps. My personal favourite author for Young Adult Thrillers was and probably still is Christopher Pike.  Twenty years after reading his books some of them still stand out in my mind in perfect clarity.  The top one would be Remember Me. Something about Shari's story struck a chord with me that has echoed through the last twenty years, as any good book should I suppose. Sadly when I was a teenager I didn't hold on to as many books as I do now so I spend a lot of time hunting to replace the ones I really wish I had kept. (Sweet Valley High anyone?)
